Give your employees eight good reasons to participate in the VRSP
Monday, June 1, 2015
Have you recently put in place a voluntary retirement savings plan (VRSP) for your employees or are you considering doing so? As you know, you must automatically register all targeted employees in the VRSP, and employees have a period of 60 days to opt out of the plan.
How can you convince your employees of the importance of thinking about their financial future and participating in your VRSP?
It is not always easy to convince people to think about retirement. Some think they may be too young to start thinking about retirement and prefer to live in the now, while others are burdened by other financial obligations.
We have therefore designed a document, which, we hope, will convince these individuals to think about the importance of planning for their financial future. This document, entitled Your Employer's VRSP: Eight Good Reasons to Participate discusses the benefits of saving for retirement as well as the benefits of the VRSP (low fees, simplicity, tax savings, etc.).
There are two versions of the document:
We hope it will be useful to you!
